Meet the Content Collaborators

We have been so lucky to work with some amazing professionals to support in the growth of Child Core Family Support’s books and resources. These professionals have provided their expertise through comprehensive review, constructive feedback, and input to ensure quality, relevance, and accuracy.

Madison Matthews, BS, CCLS

Madison Matthews is an emergency department Certified Child Life Specialist based in Tennessee.

Working in the ED offers her a uniquely fast-paced and dynamic environment—one moment she is preparing a child for emergency surgery, the next she is helping a child understand a new brain tumor diagnosis, narrating CPR in real time to loved ones, and everything in between.  Madison is deeply passionate about helping pediatric patients understand what is happening to their bodies and why. She strives to foster positive coping by using developmentally appropriate language, always aiming to speak with children in a way that respects them as individuals—with honesty, empathy, and respect.

Madison was a co-author for our “What is an Appendectomy” book, has supported outreach projects, and continues to support on further book research and creation.
